Terms of Service
Version 1 · Last updated 22/07/2026
This page is a platform notice, not legal advice. DVS Chess should have the final wording reviewed by qualified legal counsel before relying on it in production.
# DVS Chess Terms of Service
Version 1.0. Effective date: 29 June 2026.
## Account eligibility
Adult students may create their own account only if they confirm they are 18 or older. Junior accounts for persons under 18 must be created or authorised by a parent or legal guardian.
## Guardian responsibilities
Guardians must provide accurate information, confirm lawful authority over the junior account, supervise junior use where appropriate, maintain account security, and notify DVS Chess of custody, consent, or safeguarding concerns.
## Coach responsibilities
Coaches must access learner data only for authorised coaching, keep learner information confidential, use approved platform channels, avoid unauthorised direct contact with juniors, and follow child safeguarding rules.
## Payments and wallets
Wallet credits and payment records are used for classes, services, reconciliation, and support. Refunds, reversals, and manual reviews may be subject to payment-provider, accounting, and fraud-prevention checks.
## Affiliate programme
Affiliate participation is governed by the separate Affiliate Programme Agreement. Referral commission is earned only on eligible paid subscriptions, remains subject to verification, hold periods, reversals, taxes, transaction charges, and anti-fraud review, and does not create employment, partnership, agency, or authority to bind DVS Chess.
## Class access and learning content
The platform may provide live classes, assignments, opening explorers, engine practice, feedback, reports, and learning materials. Content remains subject to DVS Chess and coach ownership rules.
## Acceptable use
Users must not harass others, misuse chat or class tools, share accounts, attempt to bypass role controls, scrape data, interfere with live sessions, or disclose another learner's personal data.
## Safeguarding
Any suspected child-safety, abuse, grooming, inappropriate contact, or data-protection concern should be reported promptly. DVS Chess may restrict access while reviewing safety concerns.
## Suspension and termination
DVS Chess may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, safeguarding concerns, non-payment, fraud, account compromise, or unlawful activity.
## Changes
Material changes may require renewed acceptance.
These terms are an operational draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before production legal reliance.
